Greetings in the name of jesus!Hilltop Lutheran Church of the Ascension is a congregation based on the prophetic and apostolic teachings of the Holy Scriptures.
Our Church life is centered around the Divine Service in which our Lord Jesus Christ forgives our sins, speaks to us in the Word, and nurtures and nourishes our faith with His life in the Sacrament of Holy Communion.
Grateful for the mercy and grace of God in Jesus Christ, our congregation seeks to proclaim the Good News in word and action in our community and in the world.We are part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). The ELCA is one of the largest Christian denominations in the United States, with about 3.3 million members in 8,900 congregations across the 50 states and in the Caribbean region.
Known as the church of “God's work. Our hands,” the ELCA emphasizes the saving grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ, unity among Christians and service in the world. The ELCA's roots are in the writings of the German church reformer, Martin Luther.
We work together as Lutherans with other Christians around the world. We are people just like yourself: not perfect, but we have experienced the forgiveness and wholeness of God. We are people centered around God's Word and the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion.Whether you are someone who has not been around church much
before, or have been away from the church for a log time, or are a friend, family member, or out-of-town guest, we invite you to worship with us, to share in the hospitality of our members, and hear the Good News of the gospel of Jesus Christ.We welcome and invite you to join us each Saturday or Sunday.
